Completion of first year of a Bachelor of Law Degree program at a recognized university.
NOTE: At the time of appointment candidates must have a law degree from a Canadian university. Alternately, the candidate must have a law degree from a university outside of Canada, together with a Certificate of Qualification issued by the National Committee on Accreditation (Please note: Proof of law degree or Certificate of Qualification must be provided at time of appointment).
Good cumulative average in law school AND a combination of additional education, training or experience. For purposes of this process, “Good” is defined as a minimum cumulative average of B. (Note: for candidates with law degrees from a university outside Canada, proof of a Canadian equivalent "B" cumulative average must be provided at time of application).
General knowledge of the Department of Justice and the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
Ability to analyse, evaluate and research legal issues.
Excellent communication skills.
Effective Interpersonal Skills.
Attention to detail.
Official Language Proficiency
Various language requirements:
- English Essential
- Bilingual Imperative (English/French) (CCC/CCC).
Must be willing and able to travel.
Must be willing and able to work overtime, including after-hours and weekends.

Secret security clearance.
