Prince Edward Island

Type of service
Supervised Access

Services offered
The Supervised Access and Exchange Program provides a safe, neutral and child-focused setting in which supervised visits or exchanges take place for specified periods of time and in appropriate cases.

Supervised Access permits children to visit their non-custodial parent under the supervision of trained community agency staff.

Supervised Exchange refers to the supervision of the drop-off/pick-up exchange of the child between the custodial and non-custodial parent.

If there are child protection issues, Child Protection Services might be involved in supervising visits outside of the Supervised Access and Exchange Program.
