Type of service
Locate Services conducts searches, where necessary, to locate individuals, their assets, their employment and their sources of income to obtain, change or enforce, guardianship, parental responsibilities, parenting time, contact and child support orders or agreements.

How to access this service
If you are enrolled in the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program (FMEP), the program will automatically request searches as required.
If you are seeking mediation for a family matter through a Family Justice or Justice Access centre, the Family Justice Counsellor will be able to request searches as required.
If court action is needed you can request a search for an address when you apply to the provincial court to obtain, change or enforce a court order of agreement for:
- Child or spousal financial support
- Parental responsibilities
- Parenting time
“Locating your Former Partner” is available through court registries and Family Justice Centres.
