Video conference and conference calls are available to clients with the permission of the judge. Video conference is only available between justice centers within Nova Scotia, with the exception of the Law Courts in the Halifax Regional Municipality and the Sydney Justice Centre in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality where video links to other provinces may be established.
Two family justice programs are available in online formats to augment in-person sessions: What you need to know before starting the family court process’ (intake) and the Parent Information Program. These programs are available to anyone, with no log-in required, and can be found via the NS Family Law website at http://www.nsfamilylaw.ca.
