INTERIM INFORMATION COMMISSIONER OF CANADA REAPPOINTED

OTTAWA, December 14, 2009 - The Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., M.P. for Niagara Falls, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, today announced the reappointment of Suzanne Legault as Interim Information Commissioner of Canada effective December 30, 2009.

Ms. Legault has been interim Information Commissioner since June 30, 2009.

Ms. Legault was appointed Assistant Commissioner for the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada on June 18, 2007.
