NOTES:
- [1] A licence application can be refused if the applicant does not meet the conditions set forth in the Firearms Act. The number of refusals also include those for business/museum licences (see Table 5).
- [2] A licence is revoked if the holder contravenes any condition attached to it, or if the holder is no longer eligible to hold the licence. The number of revocations also include those for business/museum licences.
- [3] The totals do not include 336 FACs refused and 728 FACs revoked in 1999 (issued under the previous system).
