  • Extrajudicial measures under Part I of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (for example, no further action, warnings, cautions, referrals to community agencies as alternatives to the formal court system);
  • Conferencing as a means of providing advice to decision makers through the youth justice process; or
  • Rehabilitation and reintegration of youth found guilty through positive police/youth activities.








Describe how the program or approach provides proportionate responses to offending conduct with one or more of the following objectives in mind:

  • Helping young people understand the impact of their actions and the connection between the offence and its consequences;
  • Encouraging the involvement of parents, families and the community in the rehabilitation and reintegration of youth; or
  • Increasing community involvement in the youth justice system.
