  • 80% of violent incidents were perpetrated by someone known the victim
  • 20% of violent incidents were perpetrated by a stranger

In the Provinces:

  • 56% of violent incidents were perpetrated by someone known the victim
  • 44% of violent incidents were perpetrated by a stranger
