Métis Family and Community Justice Services Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Métis Family and Community Justice Services Community Justice Program.
The mission of the Program is to promote, strengthen and empower Métis communities by supporting the cultural and spiritual needs of Métis people and by helping to develop family-centred social and justice services. Program services are designed to be holistic and take into consideration each individual's spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
The objectives of the Program are to provide pre- and post-charge alternative measures services for youth and adults in Saskatoon, Archerwill and Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. With the support of Community Justice Committees, the Program is also engaged in providing community justice education workshops, public education, community-based crime prevention, corrections and victims services.
