Long description

Figure 3 presents the results of question 30, “There is no official policy in Canada to racially profile and target anyone because of their ethnic, religious or racial origin. To what extent do you think that racial profiling still goes on unofficially?” This question was asked of visible minorities and non-minorities and presents the percentage of each group who felt that unofficial racial profiling goes on “all the time”.

The Y axis ranges from 0% to 30%.

On the X axis is the two groups, visible minorities and non-minorities. 27 % of minorities feel that despite no official policy on racial profiling, it nonetheless occurs all the time, whereas, only 18% of non-minorities felt such profiling occurs all the time.

Note that these findings are significant at p < 0.001.
