The program operates in an inpatient setting, with a recently added day program to serve people who don't fit into an inpatient setting, such as those taking medications, and methadone. They offer help for clients to deal with trauma issues – the techniques used depend on what the trauma is. There is a strong cultural component that involves Elders serving as a resource for staff and clients, ceremonies such as talking circles, smudging, drumming, and sweat lodges. All staff are familiar with traditional ceremonies.
