The x-axis shows the percentage of youth in custody by intervals of 5, from 0 to 50.
The y-axis is divided into 3 categories, from top to bottom: secure custody, open custody and remand. Each category is subdivided into two categories, from top to bottom: non-Aboriginal youth and Aboriginal youth.
- Approximately 34% of youth serving secure custody sentences were Aboriginal youth and approximately 29% were non-Aboriginal youth;
- Approximately 32% of youth serving open custody sentences were Aboriginal youth and approximately 33% were non-Aboriginal youth;
- Approximately 39% of youth on remand were Aboriginal youth and approximately 43% were non-Aboriginal youth.
