Description

The figure above is a broken-line graph showing the number of adults charged in the Prairie Region from 1977 to 1998, with a projection (dotted line) from 1999 to 2003. The X axis shows the year; the Y axis shows the number of adults charged, in increments of 2,000, from 0 to 16,000. The number of adults charged during the period studied remains between 5,617 and 15,662.

The number of adults charged remains high during the first years, ranging from 13,000 to 15,800. However, in 1982, the number drops below 10,000 and decreases until 1995, when it reaches its lowest level during the period studied. The number then stabilizes, with a slight increase. The projection from 1999 to 2003 suggests the same stability, with a slow increase from one year to the next.
