Description
This figure is a broken-line graph showing the actual (1977-1998) and projected (1999-2003) number of adults charged with drug offences in the Pacific regions (British Columbia and Yukon). The number of adults charged with drug offences varies slightly between 1977 (8,448) and 1990 (6,635). It then increases in 1991, when it reaches 10,100 cases, the maximum for the period studied. It decreases again to 7,108 cases in 1998. The 1999-2003 projection shows a slight increase then stability, and in 2003 the number of adults charged with drug offences should be around 7,443.
