Figure 6 is a vertical bar chart which illustrates Canadians’ level of priority between crime prevention and law enforcement within the criminal justice system for the years 1994 and 1998.
The x axis represents the years 1994 and 1998. Each year is divided by 2 sub-categories: “crime prevention” and “law enforcement”.
The y axis is measured in percentages from 0 to 70, and in increments of 10.
In 1994, 35% of respondents placed crime prevention as a priority and 61% placed law enforcement as a priority. In 1998, 37% of respondents placed crime prevention as a priority and 57% placed law enforcement as a priority.
