The Y axis represents the mean scores of pre treatment attitudes. The mean scores are assigned number values from a low of 1 to a high of 4 with scores of 1 or 2 indicating general “agreement” with items, and scores of 3 or 4 indicating “disagreement.”
The X axis represents the types of pre- and post treatment attitudes endorsed by clients. The types of attitudes listed are as follows from left to right: Lack of personal responsibility, Partner blame, Lack of readiness for intervention, Sexist attitudes towards women, and Denial of expected relationship difficulties.
- For lack of personal responsibility pretreatment mean score indicates to a value slightly below 2
- For lack of personal responsibility post-treatment mean score indicates to a value between 1 and 2
