"registrar" means the registrar or master of deeds or land titles or other officer with whom the title to land is registered or recorded.

Problem

The use of "ces titres" in the French version, which refers to the land title (titres de propriété foncière), could be understood in the civil law context as limiting solely to the right of ownership the immovable real rights in question.

Solution

In the English version, "title to land is" is replaced by "titles relating to real property and immovables are".
