Description

The figure above is a broken-line graph showing the trend in the du number of adults charged (actual and projected) in Nova Scotia from 1977 to 1998, with a projection (dotted line) from 1999 to 2003. The X axis shows the year; the Y axis shows the number of adults charged, in increments of 500, from 0 to 3,000. Although the exact number of adults charged during the period studied is not provided, it appears at least to be between approximately 800 and 2,800.

The results show an increase from 1977 to 1980; the number peaks from 1977 to 1998. The number of adults charged then drops during the 1980s. Although it fluctuates slightly, it remains at its lowest levels during the 1990s. If the trend continues, the number of adults charged in the 2000s will remain very stable, with a slight upward trend.
