Description

This figure is a broken-line graph showing the actual (1977-1998) and projected (1999-2003) number of adults charged with drug offences in Alberta. The number of adults charged reaches its peak for the period in 1980, with 11,216 charges. This number decreases consistently until 1996, when there are only 3,134 cases. It then increases slightly until 1998 (3,504 cases), but the 1999-2003 projection indicates stability, and the number of cases should be around 3,600 in 2003.
