Description

The figure above is a broken-line graph showing the number of adults charged in Ontario from 1977 to 1998, with a projection (dotted line) from 1999 to 2003 showing the probable trend during the following years. The X axis shows the year; the Y axis shows the number of adults charged, in increments of 5,000, from 0 to 25,000. During the period studied, the number of adults charged is between 11,611 and 21,945.

The figure first increases, peaking in 1980. It then decreases until 1986 before increasing again. However, starting in the 1990s, the number of adults charged shows some stability, with a slight decrease, until 1998. The projection suggests that the number will remain very stable from 1999 to 2003.
