Purpose:

The Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Elders Council and Chiefs Justice Symposium.
The Recipient agrees to host a Justice Symposium of Elders and Chiefs from the 23 First Nations in Treaty 8 (Alberta) to facilitate discussions on Justice issues impacting First Nations. The Recipient also agrees to coordinate the presentations at this event showcasing some of the existing First Nations Justice Programs/Initiatives.
