Purpose:

Taïga Vision has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to hold a seminar bringing together Inuit, Cree, Mi'kmaq, Mohawk, Atikamekw and Naskapi community justice organizations in order to build a common vision and begin a dialogue on possible ways of working towards a partnership promoting a participatory justice system that respects diverse cultures, organizations and institutions. Furthermore, the seminar will set out concrete plans for collaboration at the local level, demonstrate the feasibility, the processes and the benefits of concerted action, and give participants the chance to learn about similar initiatives throughout the country that have been successful despite having to overcome their own obstacles.
