Purpose:

The organization will develop multilingual information and awareness tools on the physical and psychological consequences of female genital mutilation (FGM), as well as the impacts, rights and responsibilities and legislation related to this issue. The organization will provide training, information and awareness-raising activities for women and girls, in schools and for professionals through a series of 15 workshops. The overall goal of this project is that women, regardless of their color, national, ethnic or religious origin, shall enjoy the same protection and benefit under the Act in accordance with section 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
